We finished the hardscape project on the lakeside last year but needed to fill in areas with mulch, plantings and grass. We created new paths for the water to runoff which now needs more plantings to slow it down. Our landscape designers came back and filled the areas that needed it most. I finally have my hydrangeas!!
Having the patio completed also pushed us to want to update the screened in porch. The porch has always been a favorite spot but it's construction left something to be desired. Every spring we would take off sheets of plexiglass and store them until winter. We wanted something lower maintenance with a more polished look. We went with EZBreeze units that we installed ourselves but are custom to fit our space. In preparation for installation, we painted the porch and replaced rotten trim. The sight lines and views are going to improve dramatically!
The finished product has been a transformation of one of our favorite spots in the house.
