The Looney Lodge is open for "business"

Many people have asked if we're planning to rent out the Looney Lodge. The current answer is no. We were motivated by having extra space for guests and having an opportunity to share our slice of Maine with family and friends. With that in mind, it's also a great contingent plan in case we need some extra income.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is in an open concept with the living room, dining room and entry way. This was important to consider as the design progressed. I wanted the small space to have enough room for a family of 4 to sleep, eat and hang out. The island is perfect for two people to eat or hang out, yet doesn't distract from the living room space.

I was able to find a couch that works perfectly for the space. The couch fits in the space, is super comfy and turns into a full size bed that allows for more sleeping space. I was looking for a couch with a chaise to go along the interior wall. This gives a comfortable lounging option. I may add a pouf ottoman to finish off the space.

The bedroom was straightforward after deciding on the bed placement. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, night stand and tall dresser. I may add a skinny hall table to the interior wall to allow for more surface space.

The bathroom was a huge improvement. The design moved the sink and toilet to allow more space and headroom with the slanted ceilings. I love a clean, white bathroom with some interest. I really like the chrome accents.

We have already hosted some guests and there will be many more!
