Cottage Update for March

The crew (mom, dad, Steve and myself) has been hard at work finishing the floors throughout the cottage.  All of the laminate hardwood is down and we now have laminate (that looks like tile) in the laundry room and pantry.  Steve was able to get this material for free.  Nice work Steve! In addition, the painting crew was able to get all of the ceilings painted and the rest of the walls cut in.  We just have some finishing details to complete and we will have painted the entire house.
I even found some cute bedspreads to make the bedrooms feel like home. I still need to get pictures of the rooms with the finishing touches. We're so close!
Dad installed this amazing new door.  The curb appeal just increased dramatically. I'm planning on painting it a fun green/blue color for a coastal vibe. We also figured out how we're going to change the big front windows. We knew we'd have to replace the windows because of their age. We're going to replace these three windows with three equally sized windows that are even with the height of the other windows.  This will allow for more privacy in the living room and give the house a bit more of a traditional feel from the street.
We placed a new rug in the living room.  I'm still searching for the perfect slip covers for the lovely couch and chair.
